Toronto-based Franklin Templeton Investments Canada has announced lower management fees and waiver changes on certain Franklin Bisset dividend-paying equity and fixed-income mutual funds.
“Many Canadians are continuing to look for sustainable yield at a low cost in this interest rate environment,” says Duane Green, president and CEO of Franklin Templeton Investments Canada, in a statement. “Franklin Bissett’s dividend and fixed-income lineup provides Canadians diversified solutions across the yield spectrum, now with lower cost options.”

Additionally, Franklin Templeton will be changing the names of several products to better reflect their focus. The name changes are as follows:
- Franklin U.S. Core Equity Fund will become Franklin Select U.S. Equity Fund
- FT Balanced Growth Pool will become FT Balanced Growth Private Wealth Pool
- FT Balanced Income Pool will become FT Balanced Income Private Wealth Pool
- FT Growth Pool will become FT Growth Private Wealth Pool
