Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. announced Friday that it has assembled together some of its leading mutual funds to create a new global equity portfolio that spans global, international and emerging markets.

Part of the Quotential Program, the Franklin Templeton Global Growth Portfolio uses all of the fund company’s investment styles — value, growth, growth at a reasonable price and deep value — to find opportunities in companies of all size, anywhere in the world, to provide maximum diversification.

“Our clients have asked for an equity portfolio that uses the entire range of Franklin Templeton’s global expertise, finding opportunities in any part of the world, regardless of investment style or asset class,” said Don Reed, president and CEO, Franklin Templeton Investments.

“The Global Growth Portfolio is a blend of some of our leading funds designed to provide a highly diversified global investment solution,” said Reed.

Funds included in the new portfolio are: Bissett Multinational, Franklin World Growth, Franklin Japan Tax Class, Mutual Discovery, Templeton Growth, Templeton International Stock, Templeton Emerging Markets, Templeton Global Smaller Companies and Templeton European Tax Class.

“In addition, the new portfolio is managed by Franklin Templeton Investments Private Client Group. This group brings more than 20 years’ experience providing portfolio management and advisory services to affluent Canadian investors. This same expertise is working on all of the Quotential portfolios,” Reed added.

The Quotential Program offers six separate portfolios designed to meet the differing investment objectives of Canadians. Each portfolio is available at a minimum investment of $25,000 per portfolio.
