Toronto-based BluMont Capital Corp. says Exemplar Global Opportunities Portfolio will be terminated effective June 29, subject to regulatory approvals.
BluMont, the fund’s manager, has determined that it is no longer economically practical to continue operating the portfolio due to its small size, and it would be in the best interests of shareholders to terminate the portfolio.
As a result of the termination, shareholders may redeem their shares prior to June 29, or participate in the wind-up of the portfolio and receive the net asset value of their shares at that time.
BluMont says the portfolio will immediately be closed to any new purchases and begin winding up its affairs and liquidating its assets in an orderly manner.
BluMont is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toronto-based Integrated Asset Management Corp. (TSX:IAM).
