Epic Capital Management Inc. is closing its Epic Limited Partnership hedge fund, according to reports Wednesday.

The fund, managed by Epic CEO David Fawcett, focused on Canadian investment opportunities, It was launched in November 2000.

In September, the fund had a negative return of 13.7%. Year-to-date, the fund had fallen 37.9%.

Epic’s decision also affects the Arrow Epic Fund, which it runs as an external manager for Toronto-based Arrow Hedge Partners Inc. That fund is also being wound down.
