Toronto-based 1832 Asset Management L.P., manager of Dynamic Funds, is welcoming Eric Mencke to its Canadian equities team as well as announcing changes to the portfolio management teams of various products.
“The addition of Eric Mencke to our investment organization fortifies our overall capabilities within Canadian equities,” says Jordy Chilcott, president and CEO, Dynamic Funds, in a statement on Wednesday. “As one of Canada’s largest investment managers, we place an emphasis on bringing on talent, like Mr. Mencke, that allows us to deliver on our active approach to investing.”
Mencke will be appointed as co-portfolio manager on Dynamic Canadian Dividend Fund and Dynamic Income Growth Opportunities Class and will work beside the portfolios’ current co-manager, Don Simpson.
Mencke, who brings more than 15 years of investment industry experience to his new role, replaces David Fingold, who is relinquishes his co-portfolio manager role over these two products in order to focus on his U.S. and global equity oriented mandates.
In addition, Simpson will no longer have co-manager duties on Dynamic Global Dividend Fund and Dynamic Global Dividend Class, leaving Fingold as the sole manager for the two portfolios.
