Dynamic Funds Tuesday announced the launch of Dynamic Corporate Bond Strategies Fund, Dynamic Strategic Global Bond Fund and Dynamic Global Asset Allocation Class.
The funds have added flexibility and tools to provide investors with enhanced risk management and higher income levels in the currently low-yielding and volatile market environment, Dynamic says.
Dynamic Corporate Bond Strategies Fund is sub-advised by Barry Allan and Paul Sandhu of Marret Asset Management Inc. The fund aims to produce attractive risk-adjusted returns from an actively managed and diversified portfolio of primarily investment grade corporate bonds issued by corporations based in North America. Marret may also engage in the short selling of a company’s equity securities to hedge a long position of the same company’s debt, a strategy not typically used in traditional bond funds.
Dynamic Strategic Global Bond Fund, managed by Michael McHugh, head of Dynamic’s fixed income team, seeks to provide income and capital appreciation by investing in a broad range of primarily fixed-income securities from around the globe. McHugh employs an actively managed approach and may use multiple value added strategies opportunistically including equity long/short positions to capture upside potential and provide downside protection.
Dynamic Global Asset Allocation Class, co-managed by Dynamic’s David L. Fingold and Michael McHugh, seeks to achieve long-term capital growth through investment in a broadly diversified portfolio consisting primarily of equity securities and debt obligations of businesses based outside of Canada, with no restrictions on market capitalization, industry sector, or country mix. It is the tax-efficient Corporate Class version of Dynamic Global Asset Allocation Fund (formerly, Dynamic Global Value Balanced Fund).
McHugh, vice president and portfolio manager at Dynamic, has over a quarter century of industry experience including 21 years specializing in debt securities. Fingold, vice president and portfolio manager at Dynamic, has over 20 years of business, operational and investment experience.
