Fidelity Investments Canada Ltd. is getting a familiar face to lead the firm, David Denison.
Denison returns to the helm of Fidelity Canada after a two-year stint overseeing Fidelity Investments U.S. institutional brokerage businesses. He will report directly to Fidelity vice chairman and chief operating officer, Bob Reynolds.
Fidelity Canada previously reported through a U.S. division of the organization.
Denison joined Fidelity in November 1995 and served as president of Fidelity Canada from April 1998 until he was appointed to run the U.S. institutional brokerage business.
Fidelity says that it expects Denison to combine his experience in the Canadian mutual fund and distribution businesses with the knowledge he has gained in the U.S. to strengthen Fidelity’s position in the Canadian marketplace.
