The Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA) has published a new brochure, A guide to long-term care insurance, as part of its ‘Ready for Life’ campaign during Financial Literacy Month.
The guide provides information on long-term care insurance in order to help consumers understand why it should form part of their overall financial plan.
“Canadians need to recognize that they are responsible for covering the costs of much of their long-term care needs and it is important to be aware of their options”, says Wendy Hope, CLHIA’s vice president, external relations.
The brochure is the eighth in the series of guides produced by CLHIA on a wide variety of insurance products and services and is available on the association’s website.
Based in Toronto, CLHIA is a voluntary association whose member companies account for 99% of Canada’s life and health insurance business.
