Clarington Corp., the parent company of mutual fund company ClaringtonFunds Inc., has filed a preliminary prospectus with provincial securities regulators for an initial public offering of its common shares.

Clarington says the offering will include both a treasury offering and secondary offering and is being underwritten by a syndicate of investment dealers led by RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc., which includes BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., TD Securities Inc. and Wellington West Capital Inc.

ClaringtonFunds has more than $3.9 billion in assets under management. The company offers a wide variety of mutual funds managed by leading Canadian and international portfolio managers.
