Toronto-based CIBC Asset Management Inc. announced on Monday that it will lower the minimum investment threshold for Renaissance Real Assets Private Pool starting March 1.
The firm is reducing the initial amount required to invest in the fund to $10,000 from $150,000 in a bid to make real-asset investing accessible to more investors.
“Exposure to this pool, which invests in sectors such as infrastructure, real estate and natural resources, could benefit investors’ portfolios overall,” says David Scandiffio, president and CEO of CIBC Asset Management, in a statement.
With this fund, the firm is aiming to reach clients who are seeking long-term capital growth and income through investments in securities that deal in real-assets sectors.
The pool is part of a larger program, Renaissance Private Investment Program, which was launched less than a year ago to cover a range of asset classes.
