CIBC and CIBC Asset Management Inc. announced a series of portfolio manager changes to various mutual funds they manage.
Effective immediately, Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management Ltd. is appointed sub-adviser to the Talvest Canadian Equity Growth Fund and the growth component of Imperial Canadian Equity Pool. CC&L will use a bottom-up growth strategy, with a quantitative approach as well as focused and ongoing portfolio management monitoring.
TAL Global Asset Management Inc. is appointed sub-adviser to the Talvest Canadian Equity Value Fund, replacing McLean Budden Limited. Gaelen Morphet will manage the fund. Morphet has also been appointed portfolio manager of Canadian Imperial Equity Fund and a portion of Talvest Canadian Asset Allocation Fund.
TAL Global and Wellington Management Company LLP are appointed sub-advisers to Talvest Small Cap Canadian Equity Fund, replacing Van Berkom and Associates Inc. TAL Global will manage the Canadian small-cap equity portion of the fund and Wellington will manage the global small-cap equity portion. Wellington is based in Boston. David Graham, vice president at TAL Global is appointed as portfolio manager.
In other changes, Domenic Monteferrante of TAL Global is appointed portfolio manager of CIBC Core Canadian Equity Fund and the core component of Imperial Canadian Equity Pool. Jeff Waldman of TAL is appointed portfolio manager of Imperial Short-Term Bond Pool. And, John Braive, vice chairman of TAL Global, is appointed as an additional portfolio manager of Talvest Bond Fund and Renaissance Canadian Bond Fund.
