CIBC announced today that select high-traffic branches in Vancouver and Toronto will be open seven days a week.
The bank says opening select urban branches on Sundays is one more way that CIBC is providing its clients with more options and flexibility.
These full-service branches will offer clients access to a full range of transactional services, sales and advice.
The bank announced back in September that it would institute Sunday hours at some of its branches by the end of the year.
“We are opening on Sundays to serve our clients better,” said Wendy Slavin, CIBC’s senior vp of retail markets for Western Canada.
CIBC will also continue to offer its clients evening and Saturday banking hours in many of its 1,048 branches, as well access to its more than 3,800 automated bank machines.
In Vancouver, CIBC says its branches at Kingsway & McKercher and in Brentwood Mall, will be open seven days a week, including Sundays from 12 noon to 4 p.m., commencing December 2. When the new branch opens in Yaletown in January 2008, it will operate seven days a week.
In Toronto, CIBC says that three of its high-traffic branches located at Bathurst and Lawrence, Dundas and Spadina, and Bayview Village will be open on Sundays from 12 noon to 4 p.m. commencing December 2.
The branch at Bathurst and Lawrence will remained closed on Saturdays.
