CIBC Asset Management Inc. announced on Thursday that the names of several existing CIBC mutual funds and CIBC U.S. dollar managed portfolios have changed. The new names are intended to better reflect the investment styles and portfolio compositions of the funds. These changes, effective as of Aug. 31, will be reflected on all documents on Oct. 3.

CIBC Canadian Equity Fund, formerly the CIBC Core Canadian Equity Fund; and CIBC Canadian Equity Value Fund, formerly the Canadian Imperial Equity Fund, are the only two English funds to change names. There are nine mutual funds and three portfolios in the French family that have changed their names.
