Toronto-based CI Investments Inc. announced on Wednesday it has lowered the risk ratings of three of its mutual funds, effective immediately.

The risk ratings for the Sentry Conservative Balanced Income Fund, the Sentry Conservative Balanced Income Class and the Sentry Balanced Income Portfolio have all been lowered from “low to medium” to “low.”

CI has also terminated the Cambridge Premium Yield Pool.

In a release, CI said the new risk ratings do not reflect changes to the funds’ investment objectives, strategies or management.
