Toronto-based CI Investments Inc. on Thursday announced lower risk ratings for three Sentry mutual funds.

The ratings for Sentry Diversified Equity Fund and Sentry Diversified Equity Class change to “low to medium” from “medium”.

The rating for Sentry Global Mid Cap Income Fund changes to “medium” form “medium to high”.

The changes will be effective immediately.

The changes result from application of an updated risk classification methodology mandated by the Canadian Securities Administrators to determine the risk level of mutual funds, and are not results of any changes to the investment objectives, strategies or management of the funds, CI says in a news release.
