Toronto-based BMO Asset Management Inc. has made changes to the risk ratings of two exchange-traded funds, effective immediately.
BMO Equal Weight US Banks Index ETF and BMO Equal Weight US Banks Hedged to CAD Index ETF are now both rated “medium to high” instead of “high,” states the firm’s announcement released on Friday.
The changes were made as a result of an annual review to better align with the ETFs’ risk levels. No material changes have been made to the investment objectives, strategies or management of these ETFs.
These changes will be reflected in these ETFs’ prospectus and each applicable summary document, which was filed with Canadian securities regulators on Jan. 29.
