AIM Trimark today announced that it is realigning portfolio management responsibilities on several of its funds. The moves are being made to more effectively allocate investment management resources on the funds, the company says.

“Our mentoring and training process is a strength of the Trimark investments team culture,” says Patrick Farmer, AIM Trimark’s chief investment officer and head of North American retail investments for Amvescap. “We have a rich history of enduring investment success as a result of nurturing up-and-coming investment management talent.”

Effective immediately, Jeff Hyrich will assume the lead management role on both Trimark Global Endeavour Fund/Class and Trimark Global Mid-Cap Equity Private Pool. Hyrich has been integral to the success of Trimark Global Endeavour Fund/Class over the past five years. Geoff MacDonald will remain as co-manager on the funds while increasingly focusing his efforts on other mandates, including Trimark Income Growth Fund, Trimark Canadian Endeavour Fund and a U.S. mid-cap fund managed for U.S. investors.

Evelyn Huang has been promoted to portfolio manager from senior equity analyst and will succeed Judith Adams as co-manager on Trimark Select Growth Fund/Class and Trimark Global Equity Private Pool and its currency-neutral version. Huang has worked closely with lead manager Richard Jenkins for the past two years and made strong contributions to the Fund. Adams will increasingly focus on her EAFE responsibilities, as well as her recently expanded role in managing pension mandates.

In recognition of Ted Chisholm’s contribution to the small-cap team over the past three-plus years, he will assume the lead manager role on Trimark Canadian Small Companies Fund, with Rob Mikalachki remaining as co-manager.
