This is the second year in a row AIM Trimark has earned the distinction, which recognizes excellence in fund performance, fund management, customer service, communication, investment strategy, education and community service.

“Being acknowledged by advisors nation-wide who continue to make AIM Trimark their first choice is a great honour,” said Philip Taylor, president and CEO at AIM Trimark, in a release.

AIM Trimark was a finalist in 10 award categories and took top honours in the following four categories:

  • Best Global Balanced & Asset Allocation Fund: Trimark GlobalBalanced Fund;
  • Best International Equity Fund: Trimark International Companies Fund;
  • Best European Equity Fund: Trimark Europlus Fund; and
  • Best Global Equity Segregated Fund: SunWise Trimark Select Growth Fund.

“This year the awards began to shift their focus towards longer term performance, which is what really matters to investors,”said Patrick Farmer, AIM Trimark’s chief investment officer.

Among other award winners, The Ethical Funds Co. received the Imagine Socially Responsible Investment Fund Award for the Ethical Canadian Dividend Fund. This award recognizes the best performing socially responsible investment (SRI) fund in Canada.

The Ethical Funds Company won the award on the strength of its screening and research, shareholder advocacy program, and support of community economic development through its association with the Canadian credit union system. The award also recognizes the leadership position the firm has taken with respect to SRI practices, and the commitment they’ve made to the SRI industry as a whole.
