AIM Trimark Investments has appointed Alfred Samson to its Toronto-based fixed-income portfolio management team.
Samson brings over 14 years of progressive experience in the management of fixed-income securities and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. In his last role with a major Canadian insurance company, he spent nine years on a team that managed more than $4 billion in publicly traded bonds.
“We welcome Alfred to the team,” said Patrick Farmer, chief investment officer and executive vp, in a release. “We pride ourselves on our close teamwork, which we believe is essential to the process of successful investing.”
As portfolio manager, Samson joins industry veterans Rex Chong, Anthony Imbesi and analyst Gary Lew.
AIM Trimark Investments is one of Canada’s largest investment management companies with over $43 billion in assets under management.
