ACE Life has added CAREpath’s Navigation System to it group critical illness plan, the company announced today.
Spectrum, Ace Life’s critical illness plan, will now offer the system, which is essentially a network of cancer specialists, to its clients.
Ace Life is an operating division of the ACE Group of Companies.
According to the company, the system provides individuals who have been recently diagnosed with cancer with one-on-one telephonic counseling, guidance and support through the stages of treatment.
It is designed to help reduce the physical, emotional and productivity impact of a cancer diagnosis by meeting a patient’s medical and emotional needs in a timely and effective manner, it said.
“Adding CAREpath’s Navigation System to our already robust Spectrum group critical illness plan will allow our clients to offer their employees a level of care that, until now, was unavailable in a critical illness product,” said Terri Mitchell, executive vice president and COO of ACE Life, in a release.
“As the incidence of cancer is poised to surpass all other forms of critical illness, implementing the system’s employee retention and return to work strategies is timely.”
ACE Life said today it plans to host educational seminars for its clients across Canada.
