The FundGrade A+ Awards for 2023 were handed out Thursday in Toronto to 65 fund companies representing 373 funds.
The awards, run by Toronto-based Fundata Canada Inc., have quantitative criteria based on risk-adjusted performance history going back as far as 10 years.
The 373 funds awarded for 2023 comprised 176 mutual funds, 101 ETFs, 93 segregated funds and three responsible investing funds.
As in the previous year, CI Investments Inc. had the most honoured funds (35). Manulife Investment Management Ltd. had the second-most funds honoured (34), and Fidelity Investments Canada ULC and Canada Life (Investment Management and Assurance combined) tied for third-most funds honoured (30).
In 2022, 62 companies representing 362 funds received the award.
