Veteran financial industry executive Warren Moysey died at his home on Dec. 11, according to his obituary.
Moysey worked at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) from 1962 to 1990, finishing his career there as one of three presidents of the bank.
Following his career with CIBC, Moysey held CEO positions at Central Guaranty and Aetna Insurance. From 1994 to 1997, he was chairman and CEO of CI Mutual Funds, which went public under his leadership
Moysey was a gold medalist in commerce and finance at the University of Toronto in 1961, and pursued a master’s degree in economics at the University of Chicago under Milton Friedman.
His funeral will be held on Dec. 14 in Toronto.
Moysey is survived by his wife, three children, two grandchildren and two siblings.
