Union Securities Ltd. has appointed Ed Duda as its senior vice president & chief financial officer, the
Vancouver-based investment dealer said Monday.
Duda will focus on streamlining financial and regulatory reporting systems, strategic planning, capital management, corporate restructuring, business process re-engineering, and maximizing return on investment.
As the newest member of Union’s executive committee, Duda brings over 25 years of both financial industry and other industry experience in which he oversaw financial, operational and administrative departments and led special projects in change management, corporate restructuring and strategic planning. He has served as VP finance and subsequently as the chief operating officer at Haywood Securities and as VP administration & credit at Blackmont Capital.
Duda holds a CMA designation as well as a BBA from Simon Fraser University and has completed a number of management courses through the Canadian Securities Institute.
