UBS Securities names Bain head of Canadian M&A

UBS Securities (Canada) Inc. has appointed a new chief of its Canadian mergers and acquisitions business.

David Bain has been named head of the Canadian M&A. “David has been a key contributor in helping to build an outstanding Canadian M&A franchise,” said Alain Auclair, head of investment banking in Canada for UBS.

Additionally, as part of his new role, Bain will also become chair of the Canadian Business Review Group and chair of the Canadian Fairness Opinion Committee, which reviews and approves all fairness opinions issued by UBS Securities to corporate clients in Canada.
