Kitchener, Ont.-based managing general agency (MGA) Financial Horizons Group has announced the appointment of David Stewart to the firm’s executive roster.
The company has announced that effective Thursday, Stewart has been appointed executive vice president, sales and training. The position is new to Financial Horizons.
Stewart has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently, he was president and chief operating officer at PerformINS Canada Inc. – an MGA in Concord, Ont. which was acquired by Qualified Financial Services Inc. (QFS) in March.
Stewart began his career as an insurance agent in Sudbury, Ont.

Stewart belongs to Advocis and the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
He will be located at Financial Horizons Group’s head office in Kitchener.
