The Canadian operations of Standard Life Assurance Co. has appointed of three new vice presidents in its group insurance line of business and Parent.

Pierre Forget has been appointed VP, pricing, underwriting, systems and quality controls. In his new role, he leads a nationwide department that is responsible for the pricing and underwriting of Standard Life’s group insurance products. Forget has over 20 years experience as an actuary, 15 of which have been spent in Standard Life’s group insurance operations.

Anne Pennell has been appointed VP, customer services, operations and is responsible for the management of client services and field support on a national basis. Pennell has over 25 years experience in group insurance customer service operations in the areas of administration, health and dental claims, call centre management and disability management.

Michèle Parent has been appointed VP, disability risk management, health and wellness. She is responsible for the management of disability claims and for providing advisory services to clients on disability prevention. Parent has over 20 years experience in the development and management of occupational health and safety, employee assistance programmes, and health promotion in the private and public sector.
