Sprott Inc. (TSX:SII) Wednesday announced the appointments of Kevin Bambrough as president of Sprott Inc. and James Fox as president of Sprott Asset Management L.P.
The company says these appointments support the recent reorganization of Sprott Asset Management into three distinct three businesses: Sprott Asset Management L.P., Sprott Private Wealth L.P., and Sprott Consulting L.P.
Bambrough will also continue as president and CEO of Sprott Resource Corp. and market strategist with Sprott Asset Management.
Fox is senior vice president of sales & marketing with Sprott Asset Management.
“Kevin and James have been long-time members of our team and important contributors to the growth and success of our company,” explains Eric Sprott, CEO of Sprott Inc.
“These appointments are an important step in the continued evolution of Sprott, as we strive to leverage our talent base to grow and develop each of our three businesses,” he says.
Bambrough has been a key contributor to the success of both Sprott Asset Management and Sprott Resource Corp., through the strategic advice he provides to portfolio managers in his role as market strategist with Sprott Asset Management and, since September 2007, in his role as president and CEO of Sprott Resource Corp. Under Bambrough’s leadership Sprott Resource Corp. has grown its market capitalization from approximately $15 million to over $375 million, through strategic acquisitions and dispositions. Bambrough joined Sprott Asset Management Inc. in 2002.
As senior vice president of sales & marketing at Sprott Asset Management, Fox initiated the development of new products, formed a wholesale group to increase fund distribution and led marketing efforts to increase the company’s brand awareness in Canada and abroad. Fox has been a key contributor to Sprott Asset Management’s sales efforts and strategic business initiatives, which have resulted in assets under management growing from $50 million to $4.3 billion over his tenure. Fox joined Sprott in June 1999 after completing his Masters of Business Administration at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
