Shiraz Ahmed, financial advisor and founder of the Sartorial Wealth team of Raymond James Ltd., has won the Investment Industry Association of Canada’s (IIAC) Top Under 40 Award for 2022.
Ahmed, based in Toronto, was selected from among 59 nominees. He is a chartered investment manager and has U.S. Series 37 and 63 licensing. He has been with Raymond James since 2014.
At an award ceremony on Thursday, the IIAC praised Ahmed’s volunteer work and philanthropy. Organizations he supports include the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Muslim Awards for Excellence.
According to the IIAC, the Top Under 40 Award “recognizes and celebrates the new generation of highly motivated and talented young professionals whose drive, dedication, personal and professional qualities and accomplishments have brought distinction to the investment industry.”
The runners-up for this year’s award were Oleh Marianchuk, investment advisor with BMO Nesbitt Burns in Toronto, and Catherine Laflamme, investment advisor with RBC Dominion Securities in Quebec City.
