Kevin Thomas has been appointed as the new executive director of the Shareholder Association for Research & Education (SHARE), starting June 1, the Vancouver-based organization announced.
Thomas joined SHARE as a senior analyst on social issues in 2013.
Before joining SHARE, he was the director of advocacy for a labour and women’s rights organization, the Maquila Solidarity Network, and he also served as a political advisor to the chief and governing council of the Lubicon Lake First Nation in Alberta.
“SHARE’s mission – developing a truly sustainable, inclusive, and productive economy – will never happen through narrow, short-term or timid interventions. Active ownership, leadership, as investors, has to be based on a bigger vision of what kind of world we are investing in creating,” Thomas says in a statement.
