Toronto-based Raymond James Ltd. announced on Tuesday that Jim Tower is stepping in to the role of managing director and head of the firm’s new power and infrastructure investment-banking business.
“Our vision is to be the leading mid-market investment dealer in terms of providing superior advice to investors and delivering financing and advisory services to our clients,” says Paul Allison, Raymond James’ chairman and CEO, in a statement “This is particularly important within the power and infrastructure domain and Jim will play a key role in developing our capabilities with a focus on companies in the renewable power, utility and pipeline sectors.”
Tower has 25 years of experience as a capital markets and strategic advisory professional focusing on the power and utility infrastructure space. This includes 15 years as managing director and group head of the power and utilities team at Toronto-based BMO Capital Markets Corp.
