Fiona Cuddy will be joining Qualified Financial Services Inc. (QFS) as president, effective Sept. 10., the Toronto-based managing general agency (MGA) announced on Wednesday.

Cuddy will be responsible to lead QFS through its next phase of growth.

She joins the QFS team from her previous role as associate vice president, MGA partnerships at Canada Life Insurance.

“Fiona has an impressive track record of success centred on enabling people, both staff and advisors, to be their best,” QFS says in a news release.

Cuddy brings more than 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Most recently, she advanced the strategic direction of the national field sales support and operations value proposition for London Life and Great West Life. With almost 100 regional offices and 500 employees under her purview, she led people, premises, process, training and budget in support of Canada Life’s financial security advisors across Canada.

QFS was started in 1997 by Kevin Cott, the MGA’s CEO. It has eight offices across Canada, including five in Ontario, one in Quebec and two in the Atlantic region.
