Montreal-based Peak Financial Group announced on Tuesday that Marc Doré will join the firm as its new president and chief operating officer. The move will give Robert Frances, Peak’s chairman and CEO, the opportunity to focus on the firm’s plans to grow across Canada.
“We are very pleased and honoured to welcome Marc Doré to Peak. Our growth continues to be strong and sustainable and new growth prospects are taking shape,” says Frances in a statement. “As we continue to reach new milestones, this is the perfect time to build on the strength of our management team and embark on a new chapter of growth.”
Doré joins Peak as the firm prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary later this year. His addition to the senior management team will not only allow Frances to focus on Peak’s strategic growth across Canada, but help to develop new opportunities for financial advisors, according to the firm’s announcement.
Doré, who will report to Frances, will primarily lead the management team and oversee all aspects of operations.
“It is a great honour for me to be joining the Peak team as the firm continues its impressive rate of growth,” says Doré in a statement.
Doré brings 25 years of leadership experience within real estate, property management and asset management to his new role. He was most recently chief investment officer at Laval, Que.-based Réseau Sélection, which builds and operates retirement homes, and managing director of Toronto-based Fengate Capital Management Ltd., an alternative asset manager.
