The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) announced on Thursday the appointment of Carolyn Rogers as assistant superintendent, regulation sector, effective August 15.
Rogers comes to OSFI from the Financial Institutions Commission (FICOM), the integrated financial services regulator of British Columbia, where she currently serves as superintendent CEO, a position she has held since 2010.
She has chaired the Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators and the Canadian Credit Union Prudential Supervisors Association.
Prior to joining FICOM, Rogers was in the private sector, including stints in the credit union industry and at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). She has a BA from Brandon University, an MBA from Queen’s University, and is a CPA, CMA.
OSFI regulates and supervises financial institutions and private pension plans subject to federal oversight.
