Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan on Monday announced that Nicole Musicco, currently regional managing director, Asia Pacific, is returning to Toronto on Jan. 1 as senior vice president, public equities.
Musicco replaces Wayne Kozun, who has decided to leave the company.
The public equities portfolio includes internally managed portfolios, external managers, and the fund’s “relationship investing” team. It is also an influential force in corporate governance.
Musicco joined Teachers’ in 2002 in its private capital area, and helped establish its Asian regional office in Hong Kong, which opened in 2013. She moved to Hong Kong as regional managing director last year. In her new role, she will return to Toronto.
Her replacement in Hong Kong will be announced at a later date, the Teachers’ says in a news release.
Musicco has a B.Sc. from the University of Western Ontario, and graduated from the HBA and MBA programs at the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Tearchers’ is Canada’s largest single-profession pension plan, with $171.4 billion in net assets at Dec. 31, 2015.
