The Montreal Exchange (MX) has looked within its ranks for a new chief regulator as it announced on Monday that Julie Rochette has been appointed vice president and chief regulatory officer of its regulatory division.
Rochette, who was previously was director, enforcement and legal counsel with the MX, will now lead the exchange’s regulatory division, which handles compliance, market surveillance, investigations and trade desk examinations; develops regulatory policy; and manages the approval and registration of market participants and traders.
