MFC Global Investment Management, Manulife Financial Corp.’s asset-management division, named Francoys Levert as managing director, sales and relationship management, on Monday.
Levert reports to Frank Saeli, head of sales and relationship management for North America. He will lead sales and relationship management efforts in Quebec and in Eastern Canada out of Montreal.
“As we expand our distribution initiatives in the North American institutional marketplace, we will depend on the experience and dedication of Francoys and our growing sales team to market our investment strategies to a broad range of clients,” said Saeli.
Prior to joining MFC GIM, Levert, 39, was a managing director with State Street Global Markets, responsible for the institutional foreign exchange sales activities in Canada. He managed a team of sales professionals located in Toronto and Montreal, focused on developing foreign exchange trading activity with non-custody clients of State Street.
Levert was with State Street for 12 years. Prior to that, he held investment banking and analyst positions with Credit Lyonnais and Societe Generale. He is a chartered financial analyst and holds a B.A. in finance from École des HEC in Montreal.
