Manulife Investment Management has announced additions to its ESG research and integration teams. 

Peter Mennie has been appointed global head of ESG research and integration, effective immediately. Mennie, who helped establish Manulife’s ESG team, has been with the firm for more than two decades, according to a release.

In addition to assuming his new role, Mennie will continue in his current role as global head of investment risk management and quantitative analytics. To support Mennie in his expanded position, Amirali Assef has been appointed deputy head of investment risk. 

Margaret Childe has been appointed head of ESG, Canada. Childe previously served as director, ESG research and integration, Canada. 

Childe has more than 15 years of experience in the investment industry, having specialized in sustainable investing for the past eight years, the release said. Based in Toronto, Childe will report directly to Mennie.
