Laurentian Bank of Canada today named Rejean Robitaille as its new president and chief executive officer, who will replace Raymond McManus on December 13.
Robitaille, a chartered accountant who joined Laurentian in 1988, is currently the bank’s chief operating officer.
“Rejean Robitaille is definitely the right person to ensure continuity and oversee the bank’s development,” stated board chairman Denis Desautels.
“All members of the board are enthusiastic with the prospect of working with Rejean and are confident in his ability to carry on the work undertaken by Mr. McManus.”
McManus will stay on as a close adviser to the new president until Feb. 2, 2007, at which time he will retire.
