Jovian Capital Corp. announced on Tuesday that subsidiary MGI Securities Inc. has appointed Lewis Reford as president and CEO. Effective immediately, Reford replaces Mark Arthur, allowing Arthur to devote his full time and attention, as a senior principal, to Jovian.

Reford has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 12 years in the area of corporate finance/investment banking. From 1998 to 2005, he was a managing director at a leading global financial services firm, responsible for the firm’s New York and Toronto investment banking activities in the industrials sector.

Prior to that, Reford served as a vice president in the investment banking division of another leading international financial services firm’s Canadian operations.

Jovian also announced that, effective Aug. 15, Bradley Griffiths will be stepping down as an officer and director of MGI, in order to pursue other opportunities.
