Jarvis to chair TMX Information Processor governance committee

Executive Director of the Toronto CFA Society brings three decades of financial sector experience

The TMX Information Processor has appointed of Peter Jarvis as chairman of the its governance committee, TMX Group Inc. (TSX:X) said Friday.

Eric Sinclair, senior vice president, TMX Datalinx, says Jarvis “brings three decades of financial sector experience and extensive management experience to the committee.”

Jarvis is the executive director of the Toronto CFA Society and was formerly chief investment officer and executive vice president at BIMCOR. Previously, he was with OMERS as vice president, strategic investment research and investment risk management.

The TMX Information Processor provides a central source of consolidated Canadian equity market data. The governance committee will be comprised of representatives from marketplaces that contribute data to the TMX Information Processor.
