IPC Financial Network Inc. says it will be attempting to climb Mt Aconcagua in order to raise funds for charity. The Aconcagua Mountain is the highest peak in South America.
A team of advisors from IPC’s wholly owned subsidiary Investment Planning Counsel of Canada Ltd. will be leaving for Argentina on Dec. 29, 2003 in an attempt to climb the mountain.
“Last year we were successful in reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak at 19,340 ft.” says Steve Meehan, CEO IPC.” This year’s challenge will hopefully take the team to new heights of over 22,000 ft and hopefully we can exceed last year’s fund raising total of $200,000.”
All of the climbers will be paying their own way to go on the Mt. Aconcagua expedition and will be raising funds for a number of different charities. The IPC Team has hired Sebastian Tetilla, founder of Inka Expediciones, to lead them up the mountain. Live audio web casts will be communicated from Aconcagua on the company’s Web site.
