Chicago-based Hub International Ltd. has appointed Daniel (Dani) Goldsmith to the position of vice president and chief financial officer. In addition to his role as CFO, he will join Hub’s executive management team and executive committee.
Goldsmith brings several years of experience to Hub, much of it international, with both public and private companies in the areas of accounting, treasury, mergers, acquisitions, information technology and operations. Most recently he served as CFO at Almatis (a producer of alumina-based materials).
Earlier in his career, Goldsmith served as president of Terex Corp.’s North American Cranes division, following a period of two years as CFO of Terex Cranes. He began his career with Ford Motor Credit Co. in 1987, and since then has held a finance and operations positions with Borg Warner and Tenneco Automotive in their corporate offices and field locations including Beijing, China and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
“Dani’s technical credentials speak for themselves; but what allowed him to rise above the other candidates we met was his leadership experience in multiple functional areas, including finance and operations,” said Martin P. Hughes, Hub’s chairman and CEO. “Dani has a long track record of business success and he is going to be a great addition to our executive management team.”
