Haywood Securities Inc., one of Canada’s leading independent investment dealers, has added Alan Lane to its institutional sales desk. Mr. Lane joins Haywood as an institutional salesperson and will work out of the company’s expanding Toronto office.

Previously, Mr. Lane held the position of head of institutional equity sales at Dlouhy Merchant Group. While at Dlouhy, he helped establish a Toronto office and played an instrumental role in building the Dlouhy team. Prior to Dlouhy, Mr. Lane was an executive director at CIBC World Markets and worked in credit capital markets, derivatives and institutional equity sales for 11 years.

David Lyall, head of Haywood’s Institutional Sales team, said Mr. Lane’s skill set and extensive background will serve as invaluable assets in his new role covering the Toronto market.
