GMP Capital Corp. today announced that Christine Drake, will join the firm on August 8, as GMP’s CFO and corporate secretary.

Drake brings extensive experience in the Canadian capital markets in a variety of increasingly responsible corporate reporting positions, most recently as managing director and controller at the brokerage arm of a major Canadian bank.

“We are very pleased to welcome Christine to the team at GMP,” said Kevin Sullivan, CEO, in a release. “We look forward to her contribution as we continue to grow as a public company.”

Drake will replace Adina Masson-Crocke, who resigned as CFO and corporate secretary, effective July 29, 2005, in order to pursue other interests. Masson-Crocker will remain at GMP for a short period of time to effect an orderly transition to the new CFO.

“We would like to thank Adina for her loyalty and dedication to GMP over the past nine years and wish her the very best in the next stage of her career,” said Sullivan. “Adina has assisted GMP through its evolution from a private partnership into a public entity and has been a key team member contributing to our success.”

GMP Capital Corp. has three subsidiaries: GMP Securities Ltd., Griffiths McBurney Corp. and GMP Private Client Ltd.
