The U.S. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Tuesday announced the appointment of two new public governors, Joshua Levine and Robert Scully.
Levine is currently a managing director of Kita Capital Management. He was previously chief technology and operations officer at E-TRADE.
Scully held several senior positions at Morgan Stanley from 1996 through 2007. He also sits on several boards, including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. and Ally Credit Canada Ltd.
Earlier this year, Susan Wolburgh Jenah, now-former president and CEO of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) joined FINRA’s board as a public governor, along with former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Elisse Walter.
FINRA governors are appointed or elected to three-year terms, and are limited to two consecutive terms.
“With today’s announcement, as well as the recent appointment of Elisse Walter and Susan Wolburgh Jenah, FINRA’s board has an outstanding new group of public governors dedicated to advancing FINRA’s mission,” said Richard Ketchum, FINRA chairman and CEO.
The regulator is overseen by a 24-person board, comprised of 13 public governors, 10 industry representatives, and FINRA’s CEO.
