Montreal-based Fiera Capital Corp. announced on Thursday that Sylvain Brosseau, global president and chief operating officer, has resigned, effective immediately.
In the interim, Jean-Guy Desjardins, Fiera’s CEO and chairman, will take over Brosseau’s responsibilities. Brosseau will remain with the firm until June 30 to help Desjardins with the transition, but will continue to remain as a member of the board of directors.
“After more than 14 years working in this great organization, I wanted to pursue other professional opportunities and I feel confident that the time is right for me to do so,” Brosseau says in a statement. “However, it was important for me to stay involved in the evolution of the company, and as such I am pleased to continue the journey as a board member.”
