Montreal-based Fiera Capital Corp. has appointed Donald LeCavalier to executive vice president and global chief financial officer, the investment management company announced Wednesday.
His appointment is effective Oct. 1.
Most recently, LeCavalier served as senior vice president of finance and corporate affairs at Montreal-based Transcontinental Inc. (the parent company of Investment Executive) where he drove rapid growth through acquisitions, notably the US$1.32 billion acquisition of Coveris Americas earlier this year. Previously, LeCavalier led major strategic projects at Transat, Donohue and SNC-Lavalin Group.
“Mr. LeCavalier brings deep and highly relevant experience as well as an exceptional track record to the role of global CFO at Fiera Capital,” Vincent Duhamel, Fiera’s global president and chief operating officer, says in a statement. “His reputation, entrepreneurial and results-driven approach will help Fiera Capital achieve its objectives and deliver on our value proposition to clients, investors and employees.”
“I am looking forward to working with the executive and global team to drive key strategic initiatives, maximize performance and make Fiera Capital a top global asset manager,” LeCavalier says in a statement.
John Valentini, who has served as Fiera’s CFO since 2015, will move to a role as president and CEO of the firm’s private investments.
