Equitable Group Inc. today announced the appointment of John Ayanoglou as the company’s chief financial officer.

Prior to joining Equitable, Ayanoglou’s business experience has included the role of CFO for two publicly-listed financial services firms. Most recently, he was the CFO and corporate secretary of Xceed Mortgage Corp. from 2004 to May 2008 and prior to that he was the CFO of Cartier Partners Financial Group.

Ayanoglou’s career has also included working for two major accounting firms and for the Bank of Nova Scotia.

Ayanoglou holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
