Toronto-based Echelon Wealth Partners Inc. has named David Anderson as its new head of investment banking.
Anderson has spent 18 years with Dundee Securities Ltd., also of Toronto. Most recently, he was vice chairman of the firm and has served as a member its investment banking and capital markets team, which he headed for many years.
“Mr. Anderson brings extensive senior management and capital markets experience, including acquisitions, divestitures and cross-border transactions, as well as tremendous expertise in resources, and particularly mining,” says David Cusson, Echelon’s CEO, in a statement. “We are delighted to have David joining our firm and we know he will lead our already successful investment banking group to a much greater presence.”
Echelon and its predecessor firm have raised more than $1.9 billion for corporate clients and was lead or co-lead on more than half of those transactions since January 2014.
“I am looking forward to working with the Echelon team to help build a leading Canadian independent financial services firm,” says Anderson in a statement. “It is a unique and exciting opportunity.”
