Toronto-based GMP Capital Inc. has announced that Doug Bell, vice chairman of investment banking and member of the company’s executive committee, is departing the firm.
Bell is leaving the firm after eight years of service to establish a principal business in the mining sector.
“Doug has been a trusted partner and a valued member of the firm’s senior leadership team. Under his leadership we built upon our industry-leading mining franchise and we are confident the team will continue to build on this legacy,” says Harris Fricker, president and CEO of GMP, in a statement.
Adds Bell, in a statement: “I believe GMP continues in strong hands and remains well positioned to capitalize on its traditional strengths in the Canadian capital markets.”
